a quote that hit home for me today.

while it’s not always been a day that is carved out in my calendar (as everyday is Earth Day and all that), the amount of promotional posts and emails I’ve seen from brands and companies today about “celebrating Earth Day (if you use our discount code WELOVETHEPLANET, that is)” makes me want to share something that feels a little more in line with what we ~should~ be talking about on Earth Day

I started writing in a journal this time last year, when my dad told me I’d be “writing about a pivotal moment in history”. granted, a lot of what followed were accounts of trivial details like the weather and recipes for banana bread, but it did feel pretty surreal looking back on it today, one year on.
